Our Restoration Team will extract water, dry the premises back to a pre-loss condition, including any required furniture recovery and carpet cleaning & decontamination that may be required.

Our Major Loss Team includes a Project Manager, Chief Estimator, Safety Manager, Site Supervisor, Consultant Engineers and Architects. All are suitably qualified and have extensive experience in their fields and the insurance and construction industry.
Depending on the claim, your insurer will likely arrange for Civbuild to attend to investigate the extent of the loss or damage and recommend repairs, building works, replacement of items, or a cash settlement. Our insurance team at Civbuild have extensive experience and knowledge in the insurance sector and will provide a step by step process and easy to read detailed scope outlining all damaged items caused by the event including pre-existing damage. Usually the insurer or adjuster selects our team to conduct the assessment however on large complex claims, either a building consultant or an engineer is appointed to conduct the scope and assessment.
Once our scope has been approved by either the adjuster, or insurer’s, and has been
allocated to Civbuild to conduct the repairs, our team will contact you to collect the excess,
on behalf of the insurer if requested, and send over the scope & required documentation
proceed for your review and approval.
Once we receive the signed contracts and excess has been paid (if applicable), our team will
conduct an initial site meeting to discuss access, materials selection, paint colour, starting
date, duration of repairs and an indication of finishing a date. This will be documented and
sent back to yourself and the insurer to keep on file.
Upon setting a date and discussing all topics in the prestart meeting, construction will
commence, you will be appointed an experienced Project / Building Supervisor to coordinate
your repairs & conduct site visits. Your Project / Building Supervisor will ensure all standards
have been met including week to week updates on the progress of the repairs.
